Nellie Castan

Nelie studied visual arts and sociology at La Trobe University. Nellie was a director of Distelfink Gallery in the 1980s and Flinders Lane Gallery in the early 1990s. In 1998, she established Nellie Castan Gallery in South Yarra. Nellie is a dedicated patron of the arts and a passionate gallerist.

Marc Freeman

Marc is a practising artist having completed a BA (Honours) in Fine Arts in 2004 and attended a residency at the School of Visual Art in New York in 2006. Marc has experience in art handling, hanging of exhibitions, freight logistics, database management and artist consultations.

Leonie Wittner-Ermer

Completing a Bachelor of Education Secondary (Visual Arts) in 1995, Leonie conducted several printmaking workshops in a secondary school environment. Decideding to dedicate her time to printmaking Leonie completed her Bachelor of Fine Art (Honours) in Printmaking in 1997 and worked in a graphic design studio before joining the team at Nellie Castan Gallery in 2004.

Olivia Poloni

Olivia completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) majoring in visual culture from Monash University and a Masters of Art Curatorship from The University of Melbourne. In 2005 Olivia joined Nellie Castan Gallery as assistant manager and in 2008 became the gallery manager. She is also a freelance curator and writer.

Elle Zoltak

Elle completed a Bachelor of Design at Monash University in 2005, specialising in spatial concepts and visual communication, and also studied product design in Prato, Italy. Elle has been working at Nellie Castan Gallery since 2000 and is the gallery's in-house designer.
